I would also recommend smaller groups of players or even solo as servers could get a sudden lag spike and in my experience was best played with one or two buddies. The game is also well optimized for single player or small player groups with friends. But be warned, your heart may skip for a second when a zombie appears behind you from the line of sight. The game is a lot more casual than you would think considering it is a zombie survival game.
